Double use - that's what can be realised with the new quick-top chopping super-structure . With just a few movements you can turn your loader wagon into a real chopping trailer.
One important feature is that the usual super-structure ropes for converting the trailer are available. This is made possible by the very simple and robustly fixed spindle for the ropes. The advantage is that when working with the loader wagon the vehicle can be completely be filled as usual without loosing any load. Because of this the safety of the vehicle is increased considerably.
After the ropes have been rolled up again, the trailer can be used to transport chopped goods and the ropes do not hinder the loading. In addition, a hydraulically adjustable front wall is available which enables the Giga-Vitesse to be used as a chopping trailer.

The additional time spent harvesting the maize extends the functions of the loading trailer and contributes to its economic use.
Even in case of grass silage harvesting it can be used considerably more flexibly and not just as a one-man-operated loading system but also supports the self-propelled chopper. Its yield can be increased by using the Giga-Vitesse with quick-top on small fields while the self-propelled chopper harvests the bigger fields.
When using both systems at the same time it is possible to mix silage of varying quality. This avoids a development of layers of too dry or bad quality materials.
Another advantage of the quick-top concept is the fact that the bows are used for the super-structure to ensure a maximum stability. If bows were not used the side walls should be reinforced. This would increase the weight of the machine and thus reduce payload.
