The Giga Vitesse CFS (Continous Flow System) completes the Strautmann programme for the next silage trailer season. These trailers feature a new conveying unit which sets standards with regard to optimizing performance.
The heart of the CFS is the accelerator roller between pick-up and rotor, equipped with welded-on webs running radially to the outside. It forms a unit with the uncontrolled pick-up equipped with tines arranged helically as well. Together, these two elements cause the picked-up green fodder to be conveyed to the external areas subject to less stress and thus to the loading rotor and the cutting unit over the entire width.
The main advantage of the accelerator roller is the higher position of the loading rotor, thus achieving a considerably shorter conveyor duct.
Due to this shorter press channel, the power requirement and the fuel consumption of the tractor are reduced.
Due to the full exploitation of the cutting unit and rotor width, the loading performance is increased, the cutting quality is maintained over a longer period and the maintenance intervals are extended.
On the occasion of the Agritechnica 2009, the two models Giga Vitesse CFS 4001 and 4401 will be presented. The CFS package also includes a steel floor, the use of plate-link chains for the transport floor and the application of a new metering unit with three standard rollers. Due to these innovations, the CFS trailers will meet the increasing requirements with regard to their use as dual-purpose trailers.
