RECO takes Over Strautmann's Sales for Great Britain
With retrospective effect from 1 January 2010 Ruston`s Engineering Co. Ltd (RECO) will take over the sales of Strautmann products in Great Britain.
RECO is a family-owned and operated company which was formed in the mid-1950s and whose roots go back to the agricultural engineering manufacturing company F.T. Ruston & Sons.
Today the company is under the management of the fourth generation. RECO is also the owner of the biggest British manufacturer of special-purpose tyres. RECO itself imports the Fella, Sulky, and Kioti brands and has a tightly-meshed sales network in Great Britain. Both companies expect to stabilise their respective positions in the market as a result of their cooperation.
Strautmann looks forward to entering this extended sales network and RECO hopes to bolster its own market position, particularly in the cattle farming product group.

Perfect flexibility in fodder discharge
The new Strautmann discharge conveyor offers unprecedented possibilities of feeding into troughs of up to a height of 1.40 m in spite of extremely low stable overhead clearance.
On the occasion of the Agritechnica 2009, Strautmann presents a new discharge system for vertical fodder mixing trailers, the so-called C-conveyor, to the public.
Vertical fodder mixing trailers are the one and only fodder mixing system in cattle-keeping enterprises. As the stables on grown cattle-keeping farms particularly differ in the clearance dimensions and the discharge height, the manufacturers of feed-mixers are currently offering plenty of various discharge alternatives to meet the individual requirements.
The newly designed Strautmann C-conveyor is a crossover conveyor based on a flexible frame structure. ..... (more)

Strautmann 25 years in New Zealand
In today's all-too-fleeting period of time, which leads mainly big enterprises to think only from one quarter to the next, family-owned companies such as Strautmann are excelling by solidly based business relationships with long-term orientation.

Thus, Strautmann was able to use this year's visit of the Hopkins family as an opportunity to celebrate the 25th anniversary of cooperation together with the export department staff. During the first years, machine sales in New Zealand were limited to forage trailers for green fodder feeding and grass silage collection. Meanwhile, the complete Strautmann programme of forage trailers, universal spreaders and fodder mixing trailers is sold with great success. ..... (more)

Dairy farms' euphoria ensures positive result
Problems with the availablility of high-quality components and recurring bottlenecks, especially in supplying wheels, are impeding even higher gain

B. Strautmann & Söhne GmbH & Co. KG with its headquarters in Bad Laer closed the 2007/ 2008 business year on 31.07.2008 with a turnover of € 68.9M. In the two product ranges of feeding technology and vehicle technology, an increase of more than 20% compared to the previous year could be realised.

Despite cautious forecasts in the other business sectors and a partly extreme increase in costs for consumables such as concentrated feed, mineral fertilizer and diesel, Strautmann is seeing an upward tendency consolidated on a long-term basis in farming and thus a positive prognosis for its own development. .....
