Expansion of the Ambion forage wagon series with tine bars

Strautmann is expanding the product portfolio of forage wagons with tine bars by another three models. Now, the smaller Ambion 250, Ambion 290 and Ambion 360 models are available in addition to the Ambion 440 and the Ambion 500.

Forage wagons with tine bars are popular in hay harvesting. Therefore, last year, Strautmann developed the hay wagon models Ambion 440 with 42 m³ and Ambion 500 with 49 m³ of loading capacity.

In future, the three smaller models Ambion 250 (24 m³), Ambion 290 (28 m³) and Ambion 360 (35 m³) will complete the series. These models have been designed for both hay harvesting and silage harvesting. Thus, apart from the hay superstructure, a silage superstructure is also available. For uniform unloading on a clamp silo, an optional dosing unit with two or three dosing beaters is available.

The conveying unit of the Ambion is equipped with a 1.80 m wide controlled pick-up. The continuous tine bars convey the charged material particularly gently into the cargo space. They are guideway routed and equipped with spherical bearings on both sides to ensure a Long service life. A quick-lubrication system enables the lubrication of all bearings in one position of the tine bars. Thus, maintenance remains easy. The standard equipment includes four tine bars powered by a duplex chain. Optional equipment is available with five tine bars and a robust gear drive.

The standard cutting unit is equipped with 6 knives. Up to 37 knives are optionally available. The theoretical cutting length is 40 mm. Each knife is individually protected against foreign objects.

The platform is equipped with a 25 mm thick wooden floor. The transport floor consists of four round steel chains with a breaking load of 13 t each. With the hay superstructure, the top of the cargo space is closed with robust sheet metal profiles for better compression of the dry material and best possible exploitation of the loading capacity. With the silage superstructure, brackets mounted on the side and ropes ensure reliable securing of the loaded material during road travel.
