Programme expansion for the Strautmann Verti-Mix series 400/500

With the Verti-Mix 70, Strautmann is expanding the small series of towed fodder mixing wagons. This compact machine is able to feed up to 50 dairy cows, thus efficiently reducing the workload in small-scale businesses.

Strautmann is an absolute feeding expert and with their extremely wide range of towed feeders, they offer the right solution for any customer. With the new Verti-Mix 70, the Verti-Mix 400 and Verti-Mix 500 series is now supported by a big brother. This new model is particularly suitable for small-scale dairy or beef cattle farms that wish to take advantage of a homogeneously mixed TMR.

In the course of the new naming concept, the 3rd digit for the index is dropped. This concept is used for new Strautmann products and will be gradually applied to the existing product groups.

With a basic capacity of 6 m³ and the extension option by means of a 250 mm high Extension element made of 4 mm thick steel, the capacity can be extended to 7 m³. Thus, up to 50 dairy cows can be fed in one go. Furthermore, the compact machine design enables precise working under narrow stable and passage conditions.

Just like on the Verti-Mix 400 and Verti-Mix 500, the chassis is mounted behind the container. Thus, the machine height (2.12m or 2.37 m with extension) is considerably lower than that of the larger Verti-Mix 951 with a capacity of 7.5 m³. Moreover, the container has a very slim geometry with a machine width with two-sided discharge of only 2.16 m.

The container consists of 6 mm thick rolled S355 steel. Right-hand front and/or left-hand rear discharge gates are available. The preparation for a weighing system is included in the standard equipment.

A 15 mm thick, vertical mixing auger in stepped flight design with scraper bars is also part of the standard equipment. They ensure a continuously small distance between the bottom plate and the front end of the auger-flight and simultaneously provide gentle and fast mixing of the fodder ration.
